Karen’s niece Liz who attended American University in Washington, D.C. has set her sights for the 2012 Summer Olympics in beach volleyball. She has partnered up with Kara Zakrzewski and they have formed Team Mizara.
This past weekend, Team Mizara organized a friends and family tournament to help them raise funds for their Olympic bid. Along with the tournament, there was a skills clinic and a serving contest. Everyone had a great time and my understanding is that they raised over $4000.
