We headed back to the Strip this morning to do some shopping at Fashion Show Mall. This is a huge mall that happens to have an ABC Store, Dillard’s and Macy’s. Since it’s our last time in Las Vegas, we decided to cruise up and down the Strip one last time. The first thing we noticed was that the Strip wasn’t as busy as it has been in the past. The second thing we noticed as that there are many new hotels since we last visited two years ago.
Before I left on this vacation, the boys at work asked me to stop into the pawn shop featured on “Pawn Stars”. It’s called Gold & Silver Pawn Shop and it’s located on your way to Downtown Las Vegas. I read online that there is usually a long line to get into the shop but we were very lucky that we were able to just walk right in. There were quite a few people in the shop but we didn’t see any of the stars of the show. We wandered around the store and saw many unusual things. Some of the things we saw was a gold medal from the 1948 Olympics, SuperBowl rings and a $25,000 Rolex watch.
We picked up lunch from Panera Bread and headed over to Darren and Allison’s to continue the packing. We packed for couple of hours before calling it quits. Karen and I went back to the hotel to relax and have dinner from Famous Dave’s BBQ while Allison had a nap. We went back for the evening shift which include more packing and getting of more boxes.
