Let’s have a party

With Darren and Allison moving back to Canada, they have been having garage sales for the last couple of weekends to get rid of stuff.  Allison heard that Fridays are a good day to have a sale so they decided to give it a try.  By the time that we got there around 9:45am, they told us that sales were brisk.  We stayed for a couple of hours helping out.

We left just after noon and headed over to the Whole Foods Market and picked up some stuff to enjoy for lunch poolside.  We had a couple of slices of Hawaiian pizza, Sonoma chicken salad, sushi roll and a couple of smoothies.  Can you guess how much that cost us … $30.  It would have been cheaper to go and eat at a buffett.  After lunch, we spent a couple of hours relaxing by the pool and working on our tans.

Darren and Allison decided to have a going away/baby shower BBQ and it just happened to be while we were here.  We said that we would bring the cake to the party.  We had to go clear across town to pick it up from Freed’s Bakery but it was well worth it.  We even got some cookies for the flight home tomorrow.

The party was a great success.  Many of Darren and Allison’s friends from Las Vegas were there and it was great to meet all of them.  There was lots of food and lots of laughs.  The women even had an impromptu baby shower for Allison.  The night ended for us back at the hotel packing up our suitcases for our flight home tomorrow.
