As the week progresses, the weather is getting better. We decided to start the day by laying by the pool to work on our tans. We stopped by Shari’s Diner to pick up lunch before heading over to Darren and Allison’s. We packed up some more of the kitchen before heading into the pool. Allison heated the pool to a beautiful 80°F. We ended up floating in the pool for a couple of hours before heading back into the kitchen for more packing. We left their house and went back to the hotel for a nap before dinner.
We picked up Darren and Allison and headed down to the strip to Maggiano’s Little Italy. In my opinion, Maggiano’s is way better than Olive Garden. Since there was the four of us, we got to eat family style. You pick two appetizers, two salads, two pastas, two entrees and two desserts. We spent the next couple of hours stuffing our faces and just enjoying the evening.
After dinner, we dropped Allison and Karen back at the house while Darren and I went looking for empty boxes. We went behind Target and Wal-Mart where we had to do some dumpster diving to get them. Most people come to Las Vegas to gamble and see the shows. Not many people get to go dumpster diving with Elvis.
