Since we had a late night, sleeping in was in order. Darren gets only one day a week off so we decided that we should go to Lake Mead National Recreation Area. After finally getting the car packed up and driving for what seemed liked hours, we got to the lake. It was a hot afternoon and thankfully the water was refreshing (67°F). It was a great way to spend the afternoon.
Once we got back to Darren and Allison’s, everyone had a shower and then we headed out for my birthday dinner at Maggiano’s Little Italy. I love this restaurant. Since there was four of us, we got to eat family style where you get to pick two items for each course and they serve it up to you in big bowls and you just keep eating until you can’t eat any more. We spent the next two hours eating and laughing.
I think everyone had too much sun and too much food that we just went home and went to bed.
