A furry alarm clock is much better to wake up to instead of Alexa. Maui and I headed out for our morning walk just after 7am today. It was much better temperature wise and the sun was just starting to rise. After the walk, it was back to bed until 10:00am.
Marie, Brodie, Teresa and Jon had a boat tour booked at lunch today., so we offered to look after Scarlett (Teresa and Jon’s dog) since we had no plans for today. Scarlett was dropped off around 10:30am and Maui was very happy to have a visitor. The rest of the morning was spent relaxing under the new gazebo. Maui found that it was much cooler to lay under the trailer.
How did we spend the afternoon .. reading, relaxing and napping. I especially enjoyed the napping.
Before the trip, we decided that each trailer would host a dinner. We started off the week with Italian night … Karen’s famous lasagna with Caesar salad and garlic bread. Joining us was Karen’s niece Gillian, her boyfriend Ken and sister Megan who drove down from Ottawa for a visit.
After dinner, we went for a walk. Some of us ended up at the dog park, while others ended up at the jumping pillow. Soon it was time for Gillian, Ken and Megan to head back to Ottawa.. We ended our evening at Teresa and Jon’s with a campfire including yummy s’mores made by Jon..
