So I guess the world did not end today

It was a long  day yesterday so we did not get moving too early.  Once we finally did get going, we headed down to  Las Olas Riverfront to catch the Fort Lauderdale Riverfront cruise.   The tour was about an hour and a half and we travelled up and down Fort Lauderdale’s waterways.  We saw many expensive homes that had expensive yachts parked out front.  I think the most expensive yacht that we saw was worth $300 million.  It takes ten tanker trucks to fill it and it only takes one tanker truck to fill a gas station.

While on the tour, the Captain mentioned that 15th Street Fisheries & Dockside Cafe had good food and great views.  So we decided that we should have lunch there.  Each of us had some differnt type of fish … grilled mahi, Tilapia and Maine lobster roll.  We dropped Papa off at the hotel so that he could have a rest while the girls went and did some shopping at Old Time Pottery and Marshalls.

We went back to the hotel to pick up Papa and we decided to go and have dinner at the Cracker Barrel.  Nana enjoyed the fact that while you are waiting for your dinner, you can go and do some shopping.  After dinner, we  went to see more Christmas lights.  The Holiday Fantasy of Lights At Tradewinds Park is three miles of giant animated displays.  This display has been going on for eighteen years and they expect to have  over 150,000 visitors.

We ended the night with a quick trip to  The Galleria Mall at Fort Lauderdale for some pre-cruise shopping.
