Shop ’til you drop

We wanted to get a somewhat early start today since we knew that we would be making quite a few stops for shopping.  Our first stop was L.L. Bean which was only a couple of minutes away from our hotel.   It did not take long for each of us to leave the store with an armful or purchases.   Maui had to stay outside but he did meet lots of people.  Just like he did at our next stop at the Waterloo Premium Outlets.  Since it’s an outdoor mall, we are able to walk Maui from store to store.  Once again we heard many comments about the lovely Lassie dog.

We all were a little tired from walking the mall so it was nice to sit and relax in the car for a couple of hours before we got to the Salmon Run Mall in Watertown, NY.  This mall was great because it had a Christmas Tree Shops and Olive Garden.   Our late lunch was great but Karen and I both agree that this was the weirdest Christmas Tree Shop we have ever visited.

After another two and a half hours, we arrived at our rental in Lake Placid.   We all were very happy when we pulled up to the house.  We walked in to find that the unit was exactly as described on the internet.  We checked everything out inside and then headed outside.  Maui was very happy to see that this yard is huge and entirely fenced.  It is very hard to find rentals that allow dogs let alone have a fenced yard.

We all got back into the car and headed to downtown Lake Placid to do some exploring.  We didn’t spend a lot of time since it was getting late and we needed to find some dinner.  There are lots of great shops here which we will check out in the next few days.  We picked up dinner from Lisa G’s which we enjoyed back at our rental.  As I sit here finishing up the blog, Maui is sound asleep on the floor in front of me.  I think he had a good day.
