We got up and were on the road by 9am. We decided to stop in Breezewood, Pennysyvania for fuel for cars and people. We arrive at our hotel the Residence Inn Fairfax Merrifield ($80 USD) in Falls Church, Virginia around 3:30pm. After doing some snooping around the hotel (boy is this place nice, we even have a fireplace), we decided to venture out for some shopping.
Susie, Karen and I decided to hit The Container Store to do some Christmas shopping. All I can say about this place is WOW. It has everything and anything that is required for home organization. Since Christmas is coming, they have something called Gift Wrap Wonderland. You can’t imagine all of the wrapping paper, ribbons, bows and boxes that you can get to make your Christmas presents look beautiful. We spent over an hour here which is easy to do.
We left The Container Store and headed over to the university. According to the GPS, the trip should only take 20 minutes. It ended up taking us just over an hour since the traffic was absolutely horrendous.
The AU Eagles won against the Bucknell Bison. After the match, we all headed over including Liz’s teammates Chelsa Brooks and Cynammon Burns to the American City Diner. This diner has probably the best milkshakes that I’ve ever had. After dinner, we dropped the girls off at Liz’s apartment and we all headed home for the night.
