RDF (rain, drizzle, fog)

We did not have high hopes for getting out on the water today because of the wind and driving rain. So we were not surprised when Amy (our host) messaged and said that our sea kayaking tour with Rock Adventures was cancelled. All that meant was that we could have a lazy morning. The following photos are a series called “what do I see out the window”.

Once we left the house, we stopped by Wild Cove Beach to check on the icebergs. They are much easier to see today because the fog was not as bad as it has been. We needed some lunch so it was off to The Wharf where we had an amazing lobster roll.

We stopped in at Scot Lewis Pencil Art Studio on the recommendation of the ladies from The Grand Old Shed Party Show. Besides his pencil art, he only sells handmade Newfoundland art. We had a great chat with him and we each ended up buying a few things.

The rest of the afternoon was spent driving around getting more pictures of icebergs. What I found interesting is that the same icebergs can look completely different depending on the vantage point. Between the stops of standing in the rain and wind, we decided to head back to the house to warm up.

Before calling it a day, we went back to Annie’s Harbour Restaurant for dinner and one final drive to Wild Cove Beach. We are not sure if we will see as many icebergs as we have here in Twillingate.
