Paradise … it’s going to be hard to leave tomorrow

It was our last full day in Puerto Vallarta.  We got up kinda early and headed down to the beach to meet up with Francisco who had arranged a snorkel cruise for Karen, Gillian and myself.  The three of us were the only ones on the boat.  The ride to the snorkel spot took approximately 30 minutes to get there.  It was great seeing the city from the water.

We ended up snorkeling at Los Arcos which means the arches.  We jumped over the side of the boat into the warm ocean water.  As soon as I put my head into the water, I saw so many colourful fish.  While we were swimming about, the guys from the boat started throwing in the bread they asked us to bring.  All of a sudden, we were surrounded by so many fish flapping about.  I honestly felt like I was swimming in an aquarium.

After spending over an hour snorkeling, we headed back for shore where lucky for us, we ran into the Muffin Man.  He’s a gentleman that sells these fabulous homemade muffins on the beach.  We picked up a few and headed to the pool for our pre-lunch swim.

Graham picked up some cooked chickens, fruit and sweet buns from Walmart which we enjoyed for lunch on the balcony.  After one final swim for Graham and Gillian, we said our goodbyes to them, and they were off to the airport to catch their flights to Calgary and Edmonton.  Ross, Karen and I headed to Costco to check out what was there.  It was very strange to be there on a Saturday afternoon and not have it be packed with people.  It was back to the condo for the mid afternoon swim/nap while Liz and Heather enjoyed a beachside massage.

We decided to have dinner at La Dolce Vita which was down on the Malecon.  We got a table on the second floor with a beautiful view of the bay.  After dinner, we did just a little more shopping before heading back.  Ross, Susie and Heather went back to the condo while Karen, Liz and I stopped at Walmart before heading back to the condo for our final evening swim.
