Maui, Hawaii

Today was a day for relaxing.

Spent the morning lounging around the condo, and the afternoon lying on the lounge chairs at the beach, trying to stay in the moving shade of the palm trees.  Temperature was around 91°F!

Later in the afternoon the winds really kicked up, so we decided to go for a drive up the coast to the town of Wailea (lifestyles of the rich and famous!).  Lots of fabulous golf courses and resorts in this area.

Stopped at The Shops at Wailea, which is a beautiful outside shopping area.  We had to check out the Wyland Gallery, and then Celebrites (Gallery of Celebrity Fine Art).  They have some incredible art in there by people like John Lennon, Ronnie Wood, Paul McCartney, and Paul Stanley (but more about that later).

Next we walked over to the Grand Wailea Resort.  This place is ultra swanky.  And huge.  Many pools, with cabanas, etc.  Right on the ocean.  Very nice.

Drove back to Kihei and picked up some supplies for a BBQ.  Our condo has a great BBQ area and we had seen people BBQing on previous nights, so we thought … why not!  Dorothy BBQd the best steak, while sitting right next to the splashing waves.  BBQing at home will never be the same!  Had a lovely dinner on the lanai, while the sun was setting.

Headed over to post this blog, and then going to turn in for the night.  Tomorrow is a big day!!!
