Today we continued Greg and Anne’s wedding celebration by gathering together at The Plantation House Restaurant in Kapalua for brunch. The restaurant overlooks the golf course and off in the distance you can see the ocean. Ross and Susie (Greg’s mom and dad) did a great job organizing and picking out the menu. You had a choice between three dishes and everyone I spoke to afterwards said that the food was amazing which it was. After we finished our meals, we got together to take a group photo before saying our goodbyes to Greg and Anne. They checked out of the Noelani and we’re headed to the Kealia Resort in Kihei for the remainder of their trip.
We changed into our swimming attire at the restaurant because we wanted to go to Napili Bay and we were not sure if there were any facilities. Unfortunately by the time we got to the beach, it was raining pretty good. so we made an executive decision to go to the Maui Ocean Center instead. It is a great place to spend a rainy day exploring the over sixty indoor and outdoor exhibits. We saw everything from sharks to stingrays to turtles to lots of colourful fishes. It was so much fun going with the boys since they got so excited with all that they saw.
We finished up around 4:45pm and proceeded to head back to the condo. Traffic was brutal today going into Lahaina that it took an extra half an hour. Karen and I picked up dinner from The Fish Market while Dave and Cathy picked up dinner for the boys from McDonald’s. Earlier in the day, we told Dave and Cathy that they could go out on a date night while we would take the boys to see Darren in “Burn ‘N Love” (thanks again Darren for the tickets). When we got to the theatre, we ran into Pastor Laki who had married Greg and Anne yesterday. The boys did not last the entire show but what they saw they really enjoyed. Michael was even lucky enough to catch the teddy bear that he throws out into the crowd. Karen, Deanna and I hung around after the show and had a chance to chat with Darren. We ended the evening early since we are doing the Road To Hana tomorrow and we are leaving at 6:30am.
