Let sleeping seals lie

I needed to do some shopping today so I asked Allison if she wanted to join me at Whalers Village.  We go there and very quicky we were able to find what we were looking for.  But by this time we were both getting hungry so I suggested that we head back to Lahaina and cross off another restaurant on the list.  We decided upon Thai Chef.  As soon as we walked in, we knew we were in for a treat.  The place was small and in need of a makeover.  We had the Thai Spring Rolls, Chicken Satay and Beef Pad Thai and there were all very flavourful.

After lunch, we went back to the house and I grabbed my bathing suit.  I really need to start working on my tan but the last couple of days, the weather has not been cooperating.  I drove down to Launiupoko Beach Park which is just outside of Lahaina.  I set up my spot and then I just relaxed.  I kept seeing lots of peope walking over to this one area of the beach.  I grabbed my camera and decided to investigate.  To my surprise there was a Hawaiian Monk Seal.  There was a husband and wife team who were the volunteers from the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration.  Their job is to keep the people away from the seals.  They told me that this seal was a her and her name was “308” aka Precious.  They were kind enough to give me lots of information regarding the seals.

We decided to have dinner at home before Allison and I headed over to the theatre to catch Darren’s show.  After the show, some of the cast including the executive producer headed to Sansei Seafood Restaurant and Sushi Bar.  It happened to be karaoke night and boy did we have alot of fun.  We ended up actually closing the place.
