We did not have any real plans today so we decided to start it off with sleeping in. After a good breakfast in the hotel (gotta love the Hampton Inn), Karen and I headed over to Toys “R” Us to pick up the girls’ 1st birthday present … the Little Tikes Deluxe Ride & Relax Wagon With Umbrella. It was easier to assemble a BBQ than it was to put this wagon together. After two hours, we were finally done. We enjoyed left over Chinese food before packing up the car and making our way to Fort Langley.
We parked the car on a side street and I noticed what looked like a film crew across the street. We walked over to get a closer look and I spoke with a gentleman that said they were filming a movie called “The Eleventh Victim” based on a Nancy Grace novel. The man told me that the film was starring Jennie Garth. Once I heard that, it was my mission to meet her. She is Kelly Taylor from Beverly Hills, 90210. It actually didn’t take that long for it to happen. We walked by a tented area and there was Jennie waiting to shoot her scene. As soon as she saw the girls, she came right over to talk to us. She was very sweet. She got down to talk to the girls and even offered to come and babysit. She was kind enough to take a photo with Allison, Darren, Sienna and Shayla. While I was busy snapping pictures, Karen was chatting up one of the crew who mentioned to her that the paparazzi was across the street. He said he would not doubt it if a photo appears in People magazine. We said our goodbyes to Jennie and then spent the next hour wandering around Fort Langley checking out the various shops and boutiques.
It was dinner time so we all went White Spot where we were joined by Allison’s mom Sylvia. After enjoying a fabulous meal, we went back to Darren and Allison for a few minutes before ending the night in the hot tub back at our hotel.
