Bet you didn’t know there are cowboys in New Jersey

I didn’t sleep very well last night so when 8am rolled around, I was tired.  We headed downstairs and grabbed some breakfast and condiments before hitting the road.

Did we bring too much stuff?

Karen remembered that there was a L.L. Bean outlet in Syracuse.  We decided that we should stop on by before heading out of town.  Time goes by very quickly when there are good deals.  We squeezed our purchases into the car and got on the highway.

We stopped for gas in Binghamton and found a place called Spiedie and Rib Pit which was next to the Monro Muffler.  We had these things called spiedie which were marinated chicken pieces served on a bun.  This spiedie thing was really good.  One little boy had the rack of ribs and they looked good too.  We hit very bad traffic which slowed us down for at least half an hour in Philadelphia.

We finally got to the Ocean View Resort Campground around 5:30pm.  We quickly got our tent (the new 12 person mansion as we like to call it) up since we wanted to get to the Cowtown Rodeo which was over an hour away.  It’s the oldest weekly running rodeo in the United States at 55 years.  We got there, picked up some dinner and enjoyed bareback bronc riding, calf roping, saddle bronc riding, steer wrestling, bull riding, team roping and girls barrel racing.

Our camp site B-49

We didn’t get back to camp until 11:30 and finished setting up our site.  Boy am I tired.
