Another early morning. I guess you don’t get to sleep in when you have Maui on vacation with you. He just wants to get up and get going.
This morning we headed over to the Keene Valley Farmer’s Market which is held at Marcy Airfield. I didn’t see it but Karen said some guy landed his plane and then headed over to the market. The market wasn’t very big, maybe about fifty vendors but everything was represented. There was fresh produce, locally made cheese, baked goods (the raspberry fried pie was to die for), crafts and a couple of food trucks. It was really nice because Maui was able to come with us and he met many dogs there.
On our way back to Lake Placid, we picked up lunch from The ADK Cafe which we enjoyed at a little spot next to the Ausable River. There were a couple of guys fly fishing and we actually saw them catch a couple of trout. We spent the rest of the afternoon checking out a couple of the Olympic training facilities and then finished up in downtown Lake Placid picking up the last of our souvenirs of our trip.
We picked up dinner from Redneck Bistro BBQ & Grill which we enjoyed back at the rental unit. Maui was lucky enough to have a play date with his friends Tucker and Apache before everyone retired for the evening.
