1st anniversary

Today is our last full day here and we wanted to make the most of it.  Since it’s the beginning of whale season, we decided to do a whale watching tour.  We booked with Ultimate Whale Watch which is the company we went out with last time.  What is great about this company is that they use a zoadiac boat which is small (at most eighteen people) and it’s easy to manouever.  We boarded around 9:20am and shortly thereafter we were on our way.  We were out on the water for two hours and we did happen to see a few whales but nothing like the last time we were out with them.  This is to be expected since it’s only the beginning of whale season.

On our way back to the condo, we found a beautiful beach where we stopped and enjoyed our lunch from Leoda’s Kitchen and Pie Shop.  We had one final swim before we headed back to Lahaina.  We dropped in to say hi to Allison and the girls before heading to dinner at Cheeseburger In Paradise.

Wyland happened to be at his art gallery this evening so we stopped in.  We watched him sketch a whale breaching in about five minutes.  Karen was even lucky enough to her picture taken with him.

Tonight was the first anniversary of Burn ‘N Love and Darren was kind enough to give us tickets for the show.  From the opening number to the very end, the show was high energy and the crowd was really into it. Afterwards, there was a small gathering to celebrate the anniversary.  By this time, it was getting late so we said our goodbyes to Darren and headed back to the condo where we finished packing up our suitcases around 2am.  We are very sad that we were leaving tomorrow.
