We had a list of things we wanted to see today in St. John’s. We started this morning with Jelly Bean Row which refers to the brightly painted row houses on many of the streets in downtown St. John’s. We did not realize how hilly the streets are and it reminded us of San Francisco.
Next up was the quaint fishing village of Quidi Vidi which is about ten minutes from St. John’s. Parking was easy to find because of the rain and fog. After walking around, we ended up at Quidi Vidi Brewery for lunch.
We drove over to the easternmost point in Canada, Cape Spear Lighthouse National Historic Site. We walked around enjoying the scenery which was made dramatic because of the fog.
We dropped by the hotel for a few minutes before heading back out for dinner at The Celtic Hearth. We ended our day back at the hotel to begin packing. We did not get to everything on the list but that leaves us things to see on our next visit to St. John’s.
