Seashells, seashells by the seashore

Another lazy morning today.  The morning was spent as it has been most mornings with the boys in the pool immediately after breakfast.  We saw on the tide schedule that low tide was going to be at 12:30pm so that we thought that we be the best time to go to the beach to find seash

We got lucky today and got parking spots in a lot that is near a closer beach access point.  It made hauling our stuff much easier.  We  laid out our blankets, put up our umbrellas and got settled for an afternoon of fun in the sun.  Since the water was so warm the other day, some of us went right in.  Others walked up and down the beach looking for shells.  We were disappointed with the shells we found since they were not as nice as the ones we found the last time we were on Marco Island.  We did all the usual beach activities like eating, napping, swimming and playing in the sand.  Once again we had a great time.

Before we went back to the house, we dropped by Mackle Park to check out the splash pad and playground.  The boys had so much fun running through the water.  I am pretty sure that they are part fish.  We left the Paisley Maloneys there while Karen and I went to Winn-Dixie to pick up provisions for tonight’s dinner.

When we got back to the house, some of us hit the pool while others went fishing.  We were getting stuff ready for dinner when all of a sudden a dolphin swam right by the dock.  He must have been only about ten feet away.  I think we will all be sitting on the dock on dolphin alert for the rest of the vacation.  Just before we were to sit down to eat, Michael caught the biggest catfish I have ever seen.

We enjoyed our BBQ steak dinner poolside with homemade ice cream sandwiches for dessert.  Fishing, watching hockey and movies is how we ended our evening.

This is how we watch hockey in Florida
