No trip to Prince Edward Island is complete without a visit to Green Gables … the inspiration for “Anne of Green Gables”.
After Green Gables, we headed to the North Cape. It is truly the loneliest place on the island. The North Cape is where the tides of The Gulf of St. Lawrence meet the tides of The Northumberland Strait. You can even walk on a natural rock reef. The North Cape is also home to the Atlantic Wind Test Site. We ended up having dinner at the Wind and Reef overlooking the tides.
On our way back to the hotel, we drove through Skinner’s Pond … the birthplace of Stompin’ Tom Connors.
