Since it was raining when we got up, we decided to drive to Summerside to explore. We stumbled upon Spinnakers’ Landing and ended up having lunch at the Deckhouse Pub & Eatery overlooking the water. Dessert was compliments of Cows Ice Cream … a Prince Edward Island tradition.
While doing our research about Prince Edward Island, we read about this must-see attraction called The Bottle Houses in Cap-Egmont. There are 3 houses built entirely out of recycled glass bottles, over 25,000 of them. The buildings are stunning.
On our way back to the hotel, we came across the Cavendish Retail Outlet. What’s funny is that the outlet is in a gas station. You can buy 4 bags of hashbrowns for $1.89 and 5 pounds of crinkle fries for $3.00.
We decided that we would have dinner at Fisherman’s Wharf Restaurant in preparation for tomorrow night’s lobster dinner.
Our research also told us that there was a drive-in theatre on the island … Brackley Beach Drive-In Theatre and Mini Golf. We got there and it was raining. They told us that they show the movie if there were at least 10 cars there. We asked how many there were, there would be only 1 … us. Maybe we’ll have better luck tomorrow night.
