Life is a highway

Jasper is the next stop of our Alberta Adventure.  The Icefields Parkway is the most scenic way to get there.  If you make no stops, you can get to Jasper from Canmore in three and a half hours.  Today it took us eight and a half hours.  Here are the highlights.

We finally arrived at the Becker’s Chalet just outside of Jasper where we will be spending the next couple of days in Cabin 33 ($288.85 CAD including taxes).  This is the cabin that Marilyn Monroe stayed in when she was filming “River of No Return” in 1953.  We headed to downtown Jasper and had dinner at Jasper Brewing Co.  The evening ended with a lovely fire.
