Today’s post is short and sweet since it’s been a very long day of great volleyball.
Liz and Heather’s first opponents were the team from France. It was an exciting match that took three games to complete. Between the first and second match, the Paisley Maloneys (Dave, Cathy and Michael) arrived to cheer the girls on. We were off to Court 1 (where the temperature was 39°C) to watch them play against Japan. This match only took it to two games and the girls were on a roll. The last match of the day was against The Netherlands (who were seeded 13th). This was the most exciting match so far. Both games were very close and in the end, Canada was victorious.
This tournament will be the girls best finish ever. Last year they finished 9th in Thailand.
