Wow … I can not believe that week one of vacation is already half over. Darren invited me to join him at a promotional gig that he had at the Napili Kai Beach Resort. Darren performed along with Kim (one of the dancers) beachside on a grassy area right outside some of the condos. As soon as he started singing, a crowd gathered. I looked around and saw people standing on their lanais enjoying the mini show.
Since Darren does not have a show on Wednesdays, we decided that we would spend the afternoon hanging out at their pool. We had the entire pool to ourselves and we really had a good time.
Allison’s birthday is tomorrow but because of Darren having a free night, we thought it would be a good idea to have a small celebration today. One of their favourite places to eat is Kobe Japanese Steak House so that is where we went. We were joined by Mama Cille, Aunty Luz, Robyn and Jim. Kobe prepares their food Teppanyaki style which means there is a large grill that the chef prepares your food on while giving you a show. We did the same thing on our Mediterrean cruise back in June and loved it. The food was excellent especially the garlic fried rice. We ended our dinner with a birthday cake of course.
