It was a very late night last night so sleeping in was in order. It was just before 9:00am when I got up and found the boys building Legos at the dining room table. I went back for just a little lay down and soon I heard the sounds of splashing. The pool was over 80°F so I knew I had to go in. After two days of waiting, we were finally able to use the pool.
We did not spend all day at the house because we had a couple of errands to run. First we stopped in at the Pine Ridge Road Farmers Market in Naples to get pickles. The first time we came to Marco Island, we attended their farmers market and discovered The Happy Pickle. These are the best pickles in the world. After getting our quart of garlic dills, we walked around and picked up alot of fresh fruits and vegetables.
It was then off to Bealls department store. We really like shopping here because they have alot of summer clothes and beach theme household goods. The boys were getting a bit bored so Karen and I took the boys home and left Dave and Cathy to finish their shopping.
Once we got back, it was time for a late lunch and more pool time. How did we end our day … BBQ steak dinner and Christmas movies out by the pool.
