Happy Birthday Marie

Today was Marie’s birthday and it is another day at sea. Which means another full day to explore the ship. There was a time change during the night and therefore we lost an hour. At around 8:45am (new time), we started receiving text messages from everyone trying to figure out what to do for breakfast. We decided to meet at Taste dining room at 9:30am. Everyone was able to make it for breakfast which was a nice way to start off the day.

We finished up breakfast and then some of us headed down to the Arcade. I think that all that went ended up playing some kind of game. I killed it at Guitar Hero. Karen and I then took Brodie for some more mini golf and who do we run into during our game, none other than the captain. Afterwards, we dropped Brodie off at his cabin and then we stopped by ours for just a little rest.

We wanted to make sure that we hit most of the restaurants on the ship so today we decided to have lunch at Jimmy Buffett’s Margaritaville At Sea. Kris, Becca, Linda, Maria joined us. Of course a few of us had the “Cheeseburger In Paradise” along with some margaritas. After lunch, we dropped by Marie and Maria’s cabin and picked up Brodie. We took him for a walk around the ship and we even caught the tail end of “Jurassic World – Fallen Kingdom” in 3D in the Theatre. The rest of the afternoon was spent napping and more exploring of the ship.

For Marie’s birthday, we decided to book dinner at Teppanyaki for everyone. Because there were fifteen of us, we ended up having two grills going with two chefs. That meant twice the fun. We had Chef Louie and he was such a showman. Besides cooking us a fabulous meal that included garlic rice, filet mignon and sea scallops, he kept us entertained with this jokes and skills with a knife and a spatula. We also managed to have a birthday cake for Marie. I think it’s safe to say that everyone loved the experience.

The rest of evening was spent catching various shows through the ship. First off we all went to the Theatre to catch the production show “Havana. A few of us then went to The Cavern and caught the tale end of “Get the Night Rockin'” with Siglo. They finished that set and then came back on and did a British Invasion set. As we were watching the band, a priest literally walked into the bar. We finished up our night at The Observation Lounge with Patricia Watson.
