Happy Birthday To Me

Today is my birthday and we decided that we would drive to Key West and spend the night.  We loaded up the car and enjoyed a beautiful drive down.

We stopped in Islamorada and had lunch at the Time Out Barbecue.  We also stopped in Deer Key to see if we could find some of the pretty little deers that live on this key.  We were lucky enough to find a couple.

We got to Key West in the late afternoon and checked into our hotel the Southernmost Point Guest House.  This place is gorgeous.  The hotel has a webcam where you can see what’s happening at the Southernmost Point.  We called Karen’s brother Paul who after some playing around on the computer, could actually see us there.

We headed over to Jimmy Buffett’s Margaritville where I had, you guessed it, a Cheeseburger in Paradise.  Across the street from the restaurant, there was a Bath & Body Works.  At this time of year, they have the big semi-annual sale.  You can’t believe how much lotion and shower gel you can buy when it’s only $5.  We walked down to Mallory Square to catch the sunset.
