Kai-lights
– Nova Scotia is nice
– lighthouses are big
– sunsets are pretty
Today we thought it might be good to sleep in a little bit. At around 8:30am, Karen says that breakfast is ending in half an hour. I quickly go downstairs and got our breakfast. After everyone was fed, we got the car packed up and left Moncton around 10:00am.
Our first stop was the Welcome To Nova Scotia sign. This is Kai’s fourth province and my first time here. Thank you for welcoming us Nova Scotia.

From there it was on to the Anne Murray Centre in Springhill, Nova Scotia. We were hoping that Anne would be there today but she was not. But we did learn that she does stop by from time to time.

We had a fun little stop in Stewiacke which was recognized in 1937 as the halfway point between the Equator and the North Pole. There is a full scale replica of the mastodon skeleton found in Milford, Nova Scotia.

Just after 4:00pm, we arrived at Lighthouse Lane Cottages in Indian Harbour. We are staying in the Bluefin Cottage. There were a couple of reasons we chose this place. The first reason is that is less than five minutes from Peggy’s Cove. And the second reason was that the cottage is right on the water and has a glass enclosed deck for Kai. We are staying here for three nights so it took quite a few trips to get everything inside.

I went and picked up dinner from The Finer Diner which we enjoyed on the deck. Nothing beat having a Lobster Club sandwich with the ocean as your backdrop.

It was around 7:00pm and we thought, let’s go to the lighthouse. Just as we thought, there were not as many people as there would be during the day. Therefore it was great for picture taking.

When we got back to the cottage, we finished off our day enjoying a beautiful sunset from the deck.
