Kai-Lights
– Lunenburg is wet
– I need a sou’wester
This morning we decided to take advantage of the fact that we are not on the move today. So we decided to have a lazy morning at the cottage. The weather report does not look good for the next couple of days but that is not going to stop our exploring of Nova Scotia. So after enjoying lunch from Cafe l’Acadie, we got in the car and headed to Lunenburg.

Instead of taking the fastest route to Lunenburg, we drove a smaller highway which took us through many small towns. Just after 2:00pm, we arrived in Lunenburg and it was raining pretty good. We walked around the waterfront and stopped into a couple of stores. Kai was wet and cold so we decided to head back to the car.

Just as we were about to leave, we see The Bluenose II come back into port. It is a replica of the original Bluenose schooner which is featured on the Canadian dime. We had to get out and get a couple of pictures of it.

On the way back to the cottage, we picked up dinner from The Finer Diner. Tonight I went with the Atlantic Lobster Caesar Salad while Karen had the Lobster Mac and Cheese. I am trying to have as much local seafood as possible.

With it being rainy and foggy, we went back to Peggy’s Cove Lighthouse to get some pictures. When we arrived, there was nobody there. The majority of people do not like going out in this weather but it does make for some nice photos.

We ended our day the same way as we started it, relaxing.
