Wow … I can not believe that Bon Jovi concert number 29 was tonight. Since I am also going tomorrow night, I decided that I would stay overnight instead of driving back and forth.
I worked the morning and then took off for the afternoon. It was a easy drive to the Hampton Inn Toronto Airport Corporate Centre my home for the next couple of days. After I checked in, I spent the rest of the afternoon relaxing which included a nap. I picked up some good Chinese food from The Wokker which was practically next door to the hotel. I drove to the Kipling Station where parking was only $2. We learned many years ago it’s much faster to take the subway to the Air Canada Centre than it is to drive and park there.
There was some concern about the concert happening because Bon Jovi postponed a couple of shows last week due to bronchitis. Jon started out strong but you could tell that his voice was tiring towards the end of the show. With the addition of John Shanks and Toronto’s own Phil X on guitar, it was a different show than with Richie Sambora. I will be curious how different the show will be tomorrow night. The concert started around 8:30pm and it ended at 10:55pm. One hour later, I was back at the hotel in my pajamas.
