Beach bums

Since the last two days have been somewhat early mornings, we decided that a bit of a sleep in was in order.  After we got moving, we decided that we should hit a beach today.   We picked up lunch from 808 Deli on our way to Makena Beach which is also known as Big Beach

When we were on Maui the last time, we discovered that there was a second parking lot which is much closer to the beach which is good when you are hauling lots of stuff.  We found a spot that was somewhat in the shade and we set up shop.  First thing we did was enjoy our lunch including 808 Deli’s fabulous homemade pudding.  We then spent the rest of the afternoon reading, snacking, taking pictures and working on our tans/burns.  Paula was the only brave soul to go into the water, the waves were too rough for me.  We went back to the condo to try out the pool and enjoy the grounds.

Darren had a promo today at WorldMark Kihei and so we thought we should go and see him.  Darren and Kim did a great job of entertaining all of the people that were gathered around the pool.  We had a quick chat and then it was time for him and Kim to head back to Lahaina.  And it was time for us to have dinner which we did at Coconuts Fish Cafe.  The food is always so yummy here.  We ended our night by spending money at The Shops At Wailea.
