A little bit of everything for a Sunday

It was so nice sleeping in today.  I eventually got up around 7:30am and then remembered that I had nothing to eat for breakfast.  So I quickly got dressed and went down the road to the Times Supermarket.  Can you guess what I paid for a loaf of bread, butter, fresh fruit and orange juice.  If you guessed $23USD, you would be the winner.  Groceries are very expensive on the island since most things need to be shipped.  After breakfast, I decided to relax on the lanai reading my book.

Once I got moving, I went over to Darren and Allison’s to pick up the girls.  Darren had a promotional gig, so the girls and I decided to spend the afternoon together.  First up was The Keiki Playhouse in Kahului.  It is an indoor play center for children.  The coolest things they have are these different play areas.  For example, they have a grocery store, car repair shop, vet hospital and a pizzeria.  It is a great way for kids to burn off energy which is exactly what the Shayla and Sienna did.  Needless to say, they were not happy when we had to leave.

I asked the girls where they wanted to go and have dinner and eventually they settled on IHOP but not before we made a quick stop at Costco.  Back at the house after the girls had gone to bed, Darren and I decided to head out to the movies.  We drove back to Kahului so that we could see “Hacksaw Ridge” which was a really good movie.  The night ended very late which it typically does when Darren and I get together.  I am sleeping in again tomorrow.
