For the past few years, we always go Black Friday shopping in the United States. This year was no different except for the fact that we were in shorts and flipflops with palm trees in the background. Dave, Cathy, the boys, Deanna, Karen and I all headed to Kahului to go to the Queen Ka’ahumanu Center. We specifically wanted Macy’s since they always have doorbuster sales that last until 1:00pm. We spent quite a bit of time there enough so that everyone had a Macy’s bag when we left.
After leaving Macy’s, we started exploring the rest of the mall. It seems to me that overnight the Christmas decorations were put up. Michael and Liam were not that interested in shopping so we managed to find a play area where they had a great time running around. We wanted to go and see the new movie “Moana” but all the show times were sold out. We thought it would be nice to see the movie while in Hawaii. We left the mall and went over to Target to pick up a few more things. We ended our day of shopping at Whalers Village. I think I have managed to almost finish my Christmas shopping. On the way back to the condo, we picked up dinner from The Fish Market.
I mentioned that I wanted to see Darren’s show “Burn ‘N Love” one last time before leaving and the boys said they wanted to go too. Karen, Michael, Liam and I really enjoyed the show. What made the show extra special was that Allison was there as well. Thanks again Darren for the tickets. Love ya. We did not stay for the meet and greet since it was way past the boys bedtime. The night ended with us starting to finish up any food and drinks we having remaining.
