It was our last day in Whitehorse and we decided to spend the morning downtown. We checked out the various stores and managed to get a few souvenirs. After picking up lunch from Bullet Hole Bagels, we stopped in to see Cheryl at the Yukon Council On Aging where she volunteers.
One of my birthday gifts from Karen was a trip to Eclipse Nordic Hot Springs. It is located about thirty minutes outside of Whitehorse and is the Yukon’s only hot springs. When we arrived, the first thing I noticed is how peaceful and quiet it was. After getting checked in, we started our afternoon of relaxation.

The next four hours was spent making our way through several of the amenities. The highlights for me were the Eclipse Pool which was running at 104 degrees Fahrenheit, the relax centre with its heated ceramic loungers and the Japanse clay tubs. The view from any of the outdoor areas has the stunning Yukon scenery as it’s back drop. If you want to see any photos of the hot springs, you will have to check out their website.

On the way back to town, we decided to take Fish Lake Road again to see if we could spot any wildlife. The only thing we saw this time was an eagle.

We texted Cheryl and met up with her at Tony’s Pasta & Seafood House for supper. Afterwards, Cheryl took us up to the Yukon Arts Centre to check out its sculpture garden. We said our goodbyes to Cheryl because tomorrow we are leaving Whitehorse for Alaska.

As we were driving back to the AirBnb, we saw a rainbow. What a great way to end our time here in Whitehorse.

Wow!!!! The sculptures are incredible!!! Lovely to see it all thru your eyes.
