– that was a big bridge
– that was a big lobster
Today is the start of our journey home. We decided that we would break up the drive over three days. After breakfast, we cleaned up the cottage and got the car packed up. By 9:30am, it was time to say goodbye to Tranquil Dream Cottage. I do not want to wait another twenty years before coming back to Prince Edward Island.

Before leaving the island, we stopped at Marine Rail Park so that we could get some pictures of the Confederation Bridge.

We wanted to have one final lobster roll for lunch. What better place than in Shediac, New Brunswick, the home of The Giant Lobster. We stopped at Lenny’s Take Out and enjoyed their small lobster roll platter. It was then off to see The Giant Lobster.

From there, we had a five and a half hour drive to our destination Riviere-Du-Loop in Quebec. We made a few stops like at the Covered Bridge Chips factory outlet to get some popcorn. We also tried to go and see the World’s Longest Covered Bridge but it was closed. Kai had his supper in Florenceville-Bristol, New Brunswick and we had St-Hubert in Edmundston, New Brunswick.

We finally arrived at the Days Inn ($189 CAD, taxes not included) at 7:30pm which to us was 8:30pm. This property has small cottages that you can stay in. When we walked in, we were very surprised how nice it was. Kai especially likes that he has a front porch and room to roam. It was a long day of driving and everyone was happy to finally be out of the car.
