We wanted to take it easy today since we had such a busy day yesterday so we thought a beach day was in order. After breakfast, we got the cars packed up and headed over to Kalmus Beach. We had to leave Maui behind since the beach does not allow dogs during the summer months. What is nice is that the beach is less than five minutes away.
We pulled into the parking lot and we were lucky to find a couple of spots right near a walkway. We grabbed all of our stuff and made our way to the beach. The first thing we noticed is how big the beach was. The second thing we noticed is that there were not too many people there. We set up our spot and then spent the next couple of hours just relaxing. This was Lynden’s first time at the ocean and she had such fun. She loved just being able to run all over the sand. When she finally got to put her feet in the water, she was grinning from ear to ear. We were starting to get hungry so we packed up and headed home. We decided to pick up lunch from the Sea Street Cafe again since the food has been so good.
Kris offered to stay behind with Lynden and Maui while the girls headed over to Cape Cod Mall. It is so great to go shopping in the middle of the day. There was nobody there except for seniors. We hit all of the highlights including Bath & Body Works for their Semi Annual Sale. Always remember it’s not what you spend, it’s what you save.
We headed over to the Hyannis Harbor and had dinner at Spanky’s Clam Shack and Seaside Saloon where everyone really enjoyed their meals. We took a quick walk along the docks after dinner before heading home for the evening.
Wonderful pics Dorothy….such a great job of “capturing the moment” ~!
(enjoyed the one with Maui capturing Lynden’s hat)
