Robin Kelly in Collingwood

Concerts No Comments »

Where can you see hundreds of Elvi in one place.  At the Collingwood Elvis Festival of course.  Karen and I have been attending for a few years and in 2002 our good friend Robin Kelly won the title.  Robin comes back every year to do a few shows.  We were fortunate enough to be able to spend some time with Robin and his fan club president Nora Cleaveley.  Thanks for a great show Robin.

Bon Jovi … round #7 … the final round … for real this time

Back in March I found out that Bon Jovi was going to be playing Rogers Bayfest in Sarnia.  Bon Jovi in Sarnia … I’m in.

We decided to make a weekend of it and so we decided to spend Saturday in Port Huron visiting a few Bath & Body Works stores since it was the final two days of their semi-annual sale.

Once we got back into Canada, we headed to Centennial Park and picked up our tickets.  We were lucky enough to find a parking lot just a five minute walk to the concert.  There’s not much to do in Sarnia so we just grabbed a couple of trashy magazines and relaxed by the water.

We got to the park and I got us a small piece of real estate about twenty-five feet from the stage.  We had to stand through Low Level Flight (fronted by Candian Idol winner Ryan Malcolm) and See Spot Run.

At 8:45pm, Bon Jovi hit the stage.  It was a smaller setlist than we were used to but an awesome show anyways.

number of concerts seen on the Lost Highway tour - 7
total dollars spent on tickets - over $2000
