We got up and saw that is was going to be another gorgeous sunny day.  Too bad we would be spending it in the car.  Today would be the long day of driving.  We headed over to the Cracker Barrel and enjoyed a lovely breakfast.  We said our goodbyes and started on our trip home.  The drive was uneventful and we arrived at home around 10pm. Another excellent trip.

Today we start our trip home.  And it was a beautiful sunny day.  We were able to get a late checkout and that gave us some time for a final swim in the lazy river, a walk along the beach and gathering of some seashells and sand.  Our destination was the Ramada Inn  in Fredericksburg, Virginia.  Karen and I stopped at the Russell Stover outlet in Marion, South Carolina for some Easter chocolate shopping and Carolina Pottery to check out the garden accessories.  We got to the hotel and were able to enjoy a swim in the indoor pool with the other hillbillies.

It’s our last full day here.  We hit the Tanger Outlet Mall for some bargain shopping.  Karen and I then headed over to Brookgreen Gardens.  This place was beautiful.  There are many statues and paths on the property.  We were hoping that we would see flowers but all that we saw was our breath because it was that cold.  I would love to come back and visit this place again in the late spring when all of the flowers would be in bloom.

We wanted to have dinner at Jimmy Buffett’s Margaritaville at Broadway At The Beach but once we got there, it was an 1 to 1-1/2 hour wait.  We asked the man at the information booth where Jimmy’s restaurant was.  He told us where it was but he also told us that Jimmy had another restaurant in town called Cheeseburger In Paradise.  He said that it’s the best cheeseburger you can have in Myrtle Beach and it was.

Rain, rain, rain.  Since we couldn’t lounge by the pool, we went shopping.  Karen and I headed over to Kmart and Home Depot.  We also had lunch at Olive Garden.  We met up with the rest of the gang at the Crossroads Mall.  We also hit Best Buy and Costco.  We got back to the condo and decided to take a walk along the beach.  Jen made us a lovely dinner that we enjoyed in the condo.

This ended up being the only sunny day that we had.  We got up and headed down to the outdoor pool and lazy river.  Paul and Megan went in the lazy river while the rest of us, layed by the pool with our jackets on.  It was quite a site.  We took a stroll on the beach and I started collecting seashells.  We headed over to Barefoot Landing for some shopping and then over to Cracker Barrel for dinner.  We got back to the condo in time enjoy the Amazing Race.
