Show number two for Bon Jovi at the Rogers Centre.  We were farther back then last night.  Our seats were basically in the middle of the outfield.  They even left the astroturf out there which was nice to stand on all night.

They changed up the setlist a bit and it was still a great show.  Their tour ends at the end of the month.  Should I try and catch any more shows?

Hot fun in the summertime

Back in November of 2009, I ordered my Bon Jovi tickets for “The Circle” tour.  Finally … after waiting nine months, it was time to see them.

We thought we would try something different.  Usually we park at Yorkdale and take the TTC to Union Station.  This time we parked at the Kipling Station and boy was it much faster.  It took us just over an hour from home to the station.  This was much better than getting stuck in the traffic trying to get to Yorkdale.  It was about a thirty minute ride to our stop.

We had a couple of hours before the concert, so we had dinner at Il Fornello .  Since it was Summerlicious, we were able to enjoy a really nice meal for $25.  It took us about fifteen minutes to walk from the restaurant to Rogers Centre.

We got there and Kid Rock was still on stage.  I’m not a Kid Rock fan but he was really working the crowd.

Bon Jovi hit the stage at 9pm and played for two and a half hours.  They did a whole bunch of songs … lots of old stuff, some new stuff and Kid Rock even came back out on stage and joined them for “Old Time Rock & Roll”.  I can’t wait for tomorrow night.

And for those keeping score, this is concert number 20.

Gordon Lightfoot is alive and well

A few months ago, there was a rumour circulating the Gordon Lightfoot had died.  He dispelled that rumour tonight by putting on a great show at Hamilton Place.  We were very fortunate to be in the second row.  It felt like and up close and personal concert just for us.

Wasted away again in Margaritaville

Jimmy Buffett made a stop tonight in Toronto at the Air Canada Centre with his Summerzcool 2009 Tour.  What a party it was.  There were people in shorts, flip flops and even guys in grass skirts.  I would go and see him again in a heartbeat.

David Cassidy

Tonight we were taken back in time to the 1970’s.  David Cassidy was in town tonight at Centre In The Square.  The placed was packed with lots of screaming woman, many of whom brought their Partridge Family and David Cassidy albums.  I believe the oldest fan there was Jo Kennedy.  She’s 92 years old.  David put on a great show.
